We were founded on Colossians 1:28-29 (NIV)
We proclaim Him, admonishing and teaching everyone with all wisdom, so that we may present everyone complete in Christ. To this end we labor, struggling with all His energy, which so powerfully works in us.
The History of Christian Counseling Minsitries

Christian counseling, these were the two words that kept popping up in my mind as I worked on my degree in counseling. I asked pastors and other counselors what christian counseling was, and no one seemed to know. Then on December 1, 1979 as I read my bible God revealed to me the basis of christian counseling.

Then in March 1980 I stood up in my livingroom and said "That's it God, I give up, I will be a christian counselor but I don't know what that is so you will have to teach me. All I have is my livingroom and you can have that." Two weeks later I had my first client.
Christian Counseling Ministires' first years were in my home. After that Christian Counseling Ministries was in several locations, from a office the size of a utility closet, to sharing office space, to an office in a church. The past 20 years have been at our current location.
Over the almost 25 years Christian Counseling Ministries has grown from me alone on my davenport, to a wonderful committed staff of 8. During this time God has been faithful to teach us what christian counseling is truley about.
Christian Counseling Ministries truly is a safe place to heal hurting hearts, through the power and love of our Lord Jesus. Miracles and love fill our offices and the ministiy of Christian Counseling Ministires.
