Q.
How do your facilitation services work?

A.
First, we review with you your situation. Our initial interviews are at no charge. Based on the initial interviews, we (meaning you and BTR) will design any facilitation sessions. No two sessions will be the same, just as your issues are unique to you. BTR will provide facilitation structure and the content structure where applicable. Content structure comprises reference books, worksheets, industry information type guidance, benchmarking, and other documentation. We strive to utilize well-documented, proven material and to avoid re-inventing the wheel.

Q.
How do you charge for your services?

A.
Our initial interviews and even the first phase of our evaluation services are at no-charge. We believe in high value services and do not want any client to be concerned about financial considerations first. The value of moving forward must be clearly determined so financial considerations are put in their proper prospective. If the value is not determined, we do not go forward, and you are not charged, period. Any agreed-upon facilitation services will be well-defined as to goals and the value of achieving those goals. Once this is determined (our services are still at no-charge to this point) then you can decide on our per-diem service charges or on our participation-based service charges. Per-diem service charges are based on preparation and length of services. Participation-based service charges are based on an agreed-upon incentive, which means our fees are contingent on successful achievement of the agreed-upon goals. BTR seeks the Win-Win outcome for all concerned.

Q.
Does BTR receive compensation from its resources?

A.
Yes.  Even though BTR is an independent associate or representative of our network of resource partners, we do receive compensation on some transactions.  BTR is not on any quota based incentives with our resources. We disclose when we are compensated by a resource, and we make it clear that you are under no-obligation to utilize our resources. Our resources will compete for your business and you can shop other service/product providers. If you utilize our facilitation service, you will have a clear ideal of what you are trying to find from the marketplace and the value it brings to your business. When BTR provides the facilitation service we stay with you every step of the way no matter which direction you choose to take. See About Us to review our statement of Values.

Q.
How does BTR choose an independent resource as a solution provider partner?

A.
BTR has known several of its resources for a number of years. Others may have been located for a specific client and are new to our network of resources.  In all cases we investigate a resource partner's strengths and weaknesses. One of our key determinants as to the appropriateness of a resource partner is identifying the type of client and engagement yielding the greatest success. BTR strives to bring resource partners to you that will be in the best position to deliver a Win-Win outcome. BTR subscribes to the philosophy that there is no such thing as a Win-Lose outcome, only Lose-Lose and Win-Win.

Q.
Why would a resource partner want to be associated with BTR?

A.
Our resource partners benefit from working through BTR for several reasons.
To name a few:

1. Our clients are pre-qualified opportunities, especially BTR clients that utilized our facilitation service.

2. Our clients know what they want and the value of achieving their goals. Our resource partners can provide more efficient services when they can focus on a customer’s well-defined goals.

3. BTR’s facilitation services help reduce or eliminate an age-old problem for most service providers, especially technology service providers, called scope creep.

4. If BTR is compensated on a transaction, it is on a results-only basis. BTR is not on any quota-based system that may impair our judgment. Resource providers do not carry us as they would their own sales staff. This can be very important for highly qualified but small (boutique) product and service providers.  BTR’s facilitators utilize their years of experience, as value added resellers (VARs), to help the resource through the engagement. This is part of the Win-Win-Win goal mentioned above.
