ROBERT L. ERDMANN Ph.D. CCN Dr. Bob got interested in nutrition in the 1960's. During that time, he sought out and attended organizations, lectures, conventions, and seminars on health. In addition, he used the computer to search out literature on nutrition and health. After five years, the demand for nutritional counseling in his private practice had grown to the point that he left IBM and devoted full time to nutritional counseling. In 1984, he was invited by a leading supplier of nutritional supplements in England (Lambert’s) to design some products for them. Since there was a great need for a professional to see patients in England, they supported his moving to England and establishing a Metabolic Counseling Clinic. In 1994, at age 65, he returned from England and became nationally certified in clinical nutrition by the International and American Association of Clinical Nutritionists. As part of his routine intake, he used a dark field microscope, hair mineral analysis, and biological terrain assessment. In the past Dr. Bob has been a consultant for Doctors Data (in Chicago), assisting doctors in the interpretation of amino acid tests, blood and tissue mineral tests, and others, and to advise doctors of possible nutritional therapies. When needed, he has also acted as a consultant for Jo-Mar Laboratories. He has published many articles in the Journal of Alternative and Complimentary Medicine, and has authored 7 health books, ranging from the classic THE AMINO REVOLUTION to FATS THAT CAN SAVE YOUR LIFE. The latest: WHEN THE DOCTOR SAYS Its CANCER, 2nd edition (1999) is already in need of updating. He believes in a total approach to health using both tests and history to assess metabolic imbalances and toxins interfering with health. Where metabolic weaknesses occur, he recommends correcting these with diet, supplementation, circulation stimulation, energetic health and change in life habits. He encourages everyone to become an expert in their personal health concerns, get guidance and be knowledgeable enough to take responsibility for their own health. The results Dr. Erdmann gets with his clients is attributed in large part to BioScience getting the best supplements available. Since many quality supplements are more costly to produce, these are often only available through a qualified health practitioner. They are not available from health food stores or discount houses. Marie Erdmann Marie was a junior high school teacher for 18 years. She taught nutrition as an adjunct to her famous cooking course. In 1984 she started BioScience to supply quality supplements to the clients of Dr Erdmann. This is VERY important as there are about 2000 companies that make supplements and the quality and bioavailability varies tremendously depending on what the actual supplement is and even how it is manufactured. When she finds a relevant article, she copies it for her library of supplement information and alerts Dr. Erdmann as to an article that he should read. She runs the business of BioScience so that Dr. Erdmann can devote all his energies to taking care of clients. With her years of education and experience, she does a great deal of interfacing with clients. While Dr. Erdmann charges for his counsel and advice, she gives hers as part of the service of BioScience. Eileen Magalhaes Eileen just joined us in April 2006 as office manager. She does everything from answering the phone, making appointments, taking and filling the supplement orders, record and bookkeeping, checking clients in and out, and managing the website. She has continued to increase her knowledge of supplements and their function and now fields a wide variety of questions from clients. These statements have not been evaluated by the FDA.
