FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
WHAT TYPE OF FILM DO YOU USE IN YOUR WEDDING CAMERAS? Currently we use Fuji 400 ASA film in our cameras. We also offer cameras with Kodak color film at $2.50 additional per camera. We no longer offer B/W film because you can easily convert your color files into B/W files and have B/W prints made from them.
WHAT KIND OF CAMERAS DO YOU USE? We reload Fuji film into previously used single use cameras with flash.
DO THE CAMERAS TAKE GOOD PHOTOS? Absolutely! These cameras take beautiful pictures when simple instructions are followed. The instructions are printed on the back of the cameras and on the table cards. The most important thing to remember is don't take flash pictures too far away from your subjects.
DO YOU OFFER CAMERAS WITH FEWER EXPOSURES? No. Our cost for 12-exposure & 24-exposure films are almost identical and therefore we do not offer you a lower price for the cameras with fewer exposures. Since the developing is included with the cameras, you won't have to worry about developing cost. You can start using your cameras at your bridal shower & rehearsal dinner. The shots that are left from the wedding can be used on your honeymoon.
HOW DO WE ORDER? Orders can be done over the phone, by fax, or by mail. Our telephone number is 1-800-410-8008. Our FAX number is 1-909-510-8200. Our mailing address is 16701 Main Street, PMB #259, Hesperia, CA 92345-7905. You can also order online. Please go to our "Designs" page.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO RECEIVE AN ORDER? Orders normally will be processed and shipped out between one to three weeks. We will put a rush on processing your order without extra charge by request. Please call or email us your request.
HOW LONG DOES PROCESSING TAKE? Once the cameras are received by our lab, we can normally finish processing in 7-10 days. Please also allow up to 6 working days for shipping time in transit.
WHAT SIZE PICTURES DO WE GET? WHAT ABOUT NEGATIVES, CDs AND DOUBLE PRINTS? We print one set of 4x6 glossy photos (matte-finish available on request) per camera. Negatives are returned. Beginning October 31, 2005, photo CDs are also included with developing. A second set of prints can be ordered at the time you send the cameras in for processing at $5 per camera. Please send check or money order payable to Create-a-Camera or provide us with your credit card information when ordering.
WHAT KIND OF GUARANTEES DO YOU HAVE? We have a replacement guarantee for the cameras if they're defective. The same replacement warranty stands for processing. We cannot guarantee that your guests will use the cameras properly and take good pictures, but strive for customer satisfaction on all orders. Once again, we understand the importance of good word-of-mouth advertising. When you become a satisfied customer, please recommend us to a friend!
WHAT DO THE TABLE CARDS SAY? The table cards say, "Thank you for being with us today. Please use our Special Camera and help us capture all the precious faces and moments around you. We treasure your presence and would like to make sure that you are in our album. Enjoy, have fun, and pass the camera around! Please leave the camera on your table." On the other side of the table cards, there are photo tips on how to take good pictures with the cameras.
WE WILL BE TRAVELING TO BARBADOS FOR THE WEDDING AND WILL NEED TO TAKE THE CAMERAS ON THE PLANE WITH US. IT IS MY UNDERSTANDING THAT SECURITY IS STRICT ABOUT CAMERAS, AND I AM WONDERING IF YOU HAVE ANY SUGGESTIONS OR ADVICE ABOUT KEEPING THE FILM INTACT AS WE GO THROUGH SECURITY. We suggest that you do not put your disposable cameras and unprocessed film inside your checked-in luggage. They should be with you as carry-on luggage and ask for hand search.
