At Farm Veterinary Services home base, is located in the heart of the Shenandoah wine country, in Plymouth, California. Situated on 25 acres, we boast a covered arena with the latest in footing design, which allows for all weather examinations including lameness and prepurchase exams. A larger outdoor arena can be utilized to assess the horse under saddle for issues that occur when the horse is ridden and asked to perform in their discipline.

We have in house blood analysis available, Digital Radiography, Digital Ultrasound, and Thermography. The digital radiography (x-ray) allows for greater detail, and the potential to enhance the views for more accurate diagnosis. In addition, a quicker "developing" time decreases your horse has to "pose for his picture".

A safe mare motel is available for mares being bred, layup care, and occasionally for boarders. (We are always asked if we accept boarders during the winter months so they can utilize our covered arena. The answer is YES!, if space is available)

In our lab we can run complete blood counts, and blood chemistries, to give you a quick, and accurate result. No need to wait overnight for your results. During breeding season, the lab is also utilized to evaluate and prepare semen for shipping, performing and reading uterine cultures, and other various services beneficial to you and your horse. 

Mares due to foal, and horses under medical treatment, are watched not only by scheduled walk-by checks, but by closed circuit cameras with viewing screens in 2 locations.  This is to ensure that your horse is well protected and taken care of the entire time they are in our care.  Our goal is to be able to take care of all of your horses needs here at our facility.
