DECEMBER NEWSLETTER Erik Schaffer, C.P. (President) Erik has been in the prosthetics and orthotics industry for more than 15 years. He has provided prostheses to (among others) Paralympic athletes (track and field, skiing, standing ice hockey), marathoners, sprinters, mountain climbers, scuba and sky divers, cyclists, roller bladers, triathletes, Federal Agents, and members of the Special Forces. Erik has unparalleled experience fitting clients who present unique challenges from a clinical perspective. Nearly a third of his practice is devoted to pediatric clients who have suffered limb loss either as a result of cancer or congenital anomalies. He also has treated an unusually large number of hip disarticulation, hemipelvectomy, Van Ness rotation plasty, proximal femoral focal deficiency (PFFD), and bilateral amputees.
