WELDER QUALIFICATION

TESTING AND CERTIFICATION

AGL will advise you in selecting the appropriate code or standard for qualification. All qualifications are performed by our AWS trained Certified Welding Inspector.

Qualifications include:

• AWS D1.1 Structural Welding Code-Steel
• AWS D1.2 Structural Welding Code-Aluminum
• AWS D1.3 Structural Welding Code-Sheet Metal
• AWS D1.6 Structural Welding Code-Stainless Steel
• AWS D9.1 Sheet Metal Code
• ASME Section 9
• And others

Testing is a practical exam that explores your ability to produce sound welds. For most codes there is no written test or training requirements.

AGL will advise you of the code requirement for test sample preparation and witness the welding of coupons in your shop.

Upon completion of testing, AGL will provide you with:

• Complete documentation of test results on code forms.
• Certificate of welder performance qualification test.
• Welder certification card.
