Finances
Believing that God is able to make all grace abound so that His children might have sufficiency in all things and thus abound unto every good work (II Corinthians 9:8, the financial needs of the ministry are made known and everyone is encouraged to "give as his heart tells him, neither grudgingly, nor under compulsion, for God loves the man who gives cheerfully" ( II Corinthians 9:7, Phillips' translation).
Abilene Bible Church does not keep stewardship records or mail statements concerning supposed financial obligations. The church does not expect or accept pledges. A giving guide is published each week in the bulletin and individuals may contribute to the various ministries of the church as the Lord leads. Each ministry has its own treasurer who presents an annual report of funds received and disbursed during the year.
Gifts are tax deductible when cancelled checks or other records acceptable by the Internal Revenue Service are kept. Receipts are available for cash gifts if requested at the time such offerings are made. | |
